First thing you need to know, I would rather getting punched in the face than telling the class a fun fact about myself. Oh, you're here to hear about art, okay then!
I was that one kid who traced unicorns from colouring books when I was six. Somehow, I ended up here, influenced by artists on the Internet and wanting to draw my characters and occasionally stuff from media I really like. How the tables have turned. Genre? Allegory, satire, woodlands, Romanian mythology and memento mori. Nah, just Latin in general. I think dead languages are pretty cool. I think 20's fashion should be brought back. I think Oscar Wilde was the Freddie Mercury of the Victorian Era.
In terms of art style, I am still working on that. Quite a few of the artists who I learned from a lot are Yana Bogatch (Cosmic Spectrum), Lavandertowne, Nadiaxel, Emilyena and, quite recently, Michelangelo Buonarroti. Do you start to see a pattern? Neither do I. Anyway: go check them out they're all amazing.
My latest projects are heavily inspired by concepts of life, death and nature, but also by myths. We have pieces dealing with hanahaki disease, eldritch entities and a lot of stuff with an arguably gothic vibe (or at least dark academia). I usually study whatever I need at the moment, so that's why my anatomy is, although quite true to realistic proportions, dominated by ectomorph dudes (which did get me a lot of frowns from art professionals and fourteen year old Twilight fans alike). Themes of dark naturalism are present in my work and I value the inside worlds of my characters deeply, so I love hinting at their inner conflicts with my art. Which is just a fancy way of saying oc (original character) brain rot.
I'm into both lineart heavy art and complex rendering, so my pieces have come to resemble a bit of both worlds, as I can't abandon lines entirely but I can't rely just on those. I'm looking to get to know more people who share my interests (both in highly theoretical anime and art)
